Kijk je weer even mee? Hieronder, of meer op Flickr… En klik hier als je de totale serie wilt zien. Hoop dat je ze leuk vindt!

Some time ago I asked people to come join my project ‘Connection’ (click here for more) so I could photograph more children with their first love: his or her stuffed animal.  This resulted in a number of reactions, amongst which Sigrid who wanted to have her daughter Lizet portrayed. I already knew Lizet from our vacaction at Domaine Saint Pierre in France; a lovely little lady whom I would most definitely want to photograph with her adored favorite. So early October she came by, and besides the nice chat with Sigrid (and Lizet’s noisy play with my children) I had a lot of fun with Lizet. Enjoyed the time we spent together. I feel lucky to be able to meet so many nice people because of my camera. The result, I think, is very nice. Do have a look – above or for more on Flickr. And click here if you want to see the total series including Lizet. Hope you like them too!

Just to say goodbye & hello! https://portret-en-zo.nl/just-to-say-goodbye-hello Tue, 04 Sep 2012 13:38:12 +0000 https://portret-en-zo.nl/?p=457 Just to say “Goodbye” to the wonderful summer vacation, and to say “Hello” to the new school year!

Such a pity that those nice, summery (and occasionally rainy) vacation days are over. Here the collage of my days in France with the husband and the kids. Such a nice app I must say: Shape Collage will do the same trick for you on your smartphone or your computer!

New adventures are on their way, I am sure. You are welcome to come and join me in travelling them… here on my blog or in person. Looking forward to it!

Summer at Saint Pierre https://portret-en-zo.nl/summer-at-saint-pierre Fri, 09 Dec 2011 14:54:05 +0000 https://portret-en-zo.nl/?p=187 I am going through my summer vacation photo’s and was reminded of how wonderful those weeks were. Three weeks of sun we had in La Douce France. First we enjoyed the hospitality provided by Hein and Jacqueline during our two weeks at Domaine Saint Pierre in the Languedoc close to Pézenas. Here’s proud ‘Hondje’ next to Hein’s ancient Renault4.

And we finished our vacation with one week at Mas Sainte Cécile in the Camargue – a 10minutes drive from Arles. Yes, the town where Vincent van Gogh lived.

During our two weeks at Saint Pierre we met a bunch of wonderful people, or families rather, that we spent our time with. My daughters enjoyed their mornings, afternoons and evenings with all the girls running about, and we enjoyed the pool or dinner with our son Pierrick and the girls’ parents. One of those families was Family Van Ekelenburg, or rather Jilles, Sigrid, Nout & Lizet. I shot a number of pictures of them. Especialliy Lizet, Nout & their friends during an evening of BBQ-ing, playing, dancing and fun. A wonderful summer, great memories (of which I will share more later) and definitely a place to return to (which we will… next summer!).
